Political BS

Don't you just love the political BS that congress calls work. The Republicans have no compassion for anything except the almighty dollar and the power structure behind it. When thousand of military personnel give the ultimate price of "DEATH" for everybody's freedom, the upper 5% believe they are immune from any involvement including taxation because they are the chosen few and are above all else in stature. In reality they have more to protect and should pay accordingly if their line of belief is centered around the $ plus they are the profiteers from all of the conflicts.

Broadband Ripoffs

How would you like to live on the outskirts of a small town and there is no wired broadband available. The only option is to buckle up and pay the big price for a satellite system or a wireless connection thru a cell phone company. When this is your only option you pay thru the nose and have a restricted download and upload. Most satellite company's and cell phone company's charge $59.00 / mo for 3 GB and another $10.00 / GB for anything over.

It has been over 2 years now since the Federal Stimulus Grants for Broadband was started and has only reached a small area of the country because the major telephone and cable company's have turned down the grants. These company's have the state licenses for these areas which keeps the smaller company's out of the market. What their reasoning is for this I have no idea, but I can guess it is to get deals thru lobbying & legislation.

These same company's are investing tons of money so subscribers can watch broadband video on their wireless phones with 4 G coverage. What good are 4G speeds when you will burning up a 3 GB limit in a few minutes? 3 GB/mo doesn't even let you use Google Earth.

I believe the major company's will eventually take away all of the freedoms that we have now on the internet  by restrictive pricing and profiteering.
